News of Kolhapur Dairy Seminar
CLFMA of India conducted a seminar on "Profitable Dairy Farming" at Kolhapur on 25th May 2009. Mr. Ravindra Apte, Chairman of Gokul Co-operative Milk Union inauugurated it. He informed audinece about achivements of Gokullike patent for milk replacer and calf rearing program. Dr. Arun Ninawe, VC, Maharashtra University of Animal and Fisheries Sciences, Nagpur released a booklet written by Dr. P. R. Patil of Gokul. Mr. Pravin Lunkad, former chairman and MC member of CLFMAtalked about asociation's activities. Mr. CV Rao, Chairman, CLFMA gave vote of thanks. Dr. A. Samad and Dr. Dinesh Bhosale were chairman and co-chairman of technical session. Dr. Bob Elliott, Technical Manager - Asia Pacific, DSM; Mr. Shane Whittaker, Hatsun Dairy; Dr. Vasudeo Sidhaye and Dr. S. N. Sane spoke about various aspects of profitable dairy farming. The Seminar was attended by more than 125 representatives from feed millers, feed additive companies and co-operative and private milk unions. Dr. PG Phalke and Dr. PP Vitkar played important role in organizing this seminar. Mr. Bharat Tandon and Mr. Vasanthkumar, former chairmen of CLFMA were also present.
